United States Route 15 through Lunenburg and Mecklenburg Counties, Virginia is a different kind of American than we've known. Endless acres of tobacco and houses withering in the undiminished sun that provides the people here with all they have. No markers exist to signify the passing of time or distance, only the growth of the crop and the increasing sullenness on the faces of the people who reside here.
